DiaKalc is a tree surveyors tool to enable quick and easy calculation of a Mean tree diameter from multiple trunk measurements. It can calculate with up to 5 measured stems or from a single diameter with a multiple stem count. It also calculates a Root Protection Radius (RPR) and Root Protection Area (RPA) from the resulting mean diameter.
The App can be modified to use any multiplier value and also has an adjustable RPR cap value.
This tool is aimed at Arboriculturists working to the UK BS5837 specification who need a handy means of calculation.
